A brush fire started behind The Oakwoods (where I “lived” during my internship) on Friday. The fire burned up to the ridge of the mountain and was contained before it could burn down the other side, which is home to the famous Hollywood sign. I work one stop light away from The Oakwoods and took some photos during my lunch break.

Is it just me or does The New AT&T look much like the old AT&T?
In 1984, the year of my birth, Bell System was forced to end its telecommunication monopoly. The company split into twenty-some smaller companies. I’m twenty-something now and only three giant telecommunication companies exist. Thank Congress and the FCC for selling out consumers.
I’m back online after over a week of no internet access. Mark joined Arthur & me in a new two-bedroom apartment in the same complex as my first apartment. It took us two days to move. It took The New AT&T over a week to move a phone number and DSL service one address down the street.
