The earth used to have 19% oxygen in its atmosphere and now it has 9%. Now, I know that’s not a fact you’ll find in the Bible, and I know it’s not a fact we should really care about like activist judges or boys kissing, but maybe it matters a little. — Bill Maher, Earth to America

  1. Don’t fall for “gloval warming”. All of the Earth lovers who spew tish crap don’t have a clue. You can’t blame the end of the Ice Age on gas guzzling SUV’s nor can you associate the warming of the earth with the same today. The Earth has heated and cooled in cycles naturally throughout time. There’s no conspiracy. If anything it’s just the orbit the earth follows aroiund the sun.

Okay, I know a guy who doesn’t believe in dinosaurs because they’re “not in the bible.” I know other people who believe that a Flying Spaghetti Monster created the universe.

Call me a freak, call me stupid, call me gullible, but I believe in Global Warming. Industrialization affects the environment. My snot turned black when I lived in London. The town that my undergrad school was situated had mills that polluted the river so bad, it actually lit on fire for days. A river on fire. Have you seen the trash being sent back to us by the ocean at some of the beaches? If industrialization can do all this, I most certainly think that the crap that spews out of our cars can warm the earth. It’s not a conspiracy, it is what happens to the earth’s ecosystem when you burn fossil fuels at high levels in a relatively short amount of time.

    Brandon,

Forgive this for being Al Gore, but the content is worth watching: An Inconvenient Truth

Yes, it’s true that the earth has natural cycles of heating and cooling. But it’s also true that the current situation is not representative of the cyclical pattern. It may well be the case that we’re in the midst of a natural warming state, but we sure are doing an awful lot to help the heating out, ya know what I mean? Thank you for the movie trailer, Jeremiah. I’ll be sure to catch that one on opening day.

  5. Jeremiah says:

This just pissed me off. I don’t understand how anyone cannot acknowledge that burning fossil fuels harms the environment, our economy, and our international relations. ::sigh::
