I entered 2005 thinking of how 2004 was a horrible year. Two thousand five proved to be an equally intense year, just more rewarding.
I had several wonderful visits by friends and family to Boston (Adam, Bryan, Ryan, Uncle Jon, Dad).
I met my love‘s family for the first time.
I went to Las Vegas with Arthur for Adrienne’s birthday surprise. We stayed in the Venetian and saw O and KA, the latter being the most amazing art / performance that I have ever experienced. I played a slot machine for the first time.
I lost my closest professor to a heart attack.
I went to Adrienne’s senior prom as her friend’s date. Arthur and I danced a song together and riled up some cowboys.
I was the Art & Design Producer, Afternoon Show Co-Producer, and Tape Assistant Director for The 24th Annual EVVY Awards.
I completed a third a semester as Visual & Media Arts Senator in the Emerson Student Government Association and did not seek re-election.
Emersive, the new media student organization that I co-founded, was officially recognized by Emerson.
I watched my love do his graduation walk 7 months before he completed his last 4 credits.
I worked at Harvard University for Apple while taking a full course load throughout the summer.
I spent the 4th of July along the Charles with Arthur’s wonderful family.
I came out to my family.
I travelled to Austin for the first screening of Barang.
I celebrated Arthur’s grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary in San Antonio and my grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary in Canton, PA.
I was an Orientation Leader for incoming freshmen and transfer students to Emerson.
I had an epiphany that drastically changed my goals as a media producer.
I became more involved in issues of renewable energy, sustainable American economics, and libertarian politics.
I signed on as a co-producer for an exciting documentary on Apartheid.
I celebrated my first anniversary with my love.
I was invited to speak on a student life panel during Emerson’s open houses.
I traveled to New Jersey and New York with the illustrious Steph. MoMA had a sound exhibit that resonated deep inside me.
I had Thanksgiving dinner with Arthur, Steph, Allyson, and Yuki at my apartment before driving to gorgeous Montpelier, VT to chill with Keto’s family and visit Burlington.
I did (and redid and redid) motion graphics for Dr. Claire Andrade-Watkins’s documentary on Cape Verde.
I spent Christmas with my family for the first time being openly gay.
I went to my first college football bowl game and loved every minute of it.
I produced a 2006 hott guys calendar for Emersive.

Wow, your 2005 recap makes my 2005 seem so uneventful. All I did was get a really cool ibook, and then have to return it =(
