Shame City

I saw Sin City tonight, unfortunately. This movie was visually amazing, like whoa. And being shot digitally makes my inner geek gasm. However, the plot was as bad as Josh Hartnett’s unibrow. In fact, any redeeming narrative structure would have helped this movie’s gratuitous violence. If I had a third thumb, I would give this movie three thumbs down.

I am not sure what you consider to be a “redeeming” narrative structure, but I was wondering if you failed to see the structure at all, or if you just thought the structure itself was ill-concieved. I saw a very balanced symmetrical structure that I though unified the movie quite beautifully. Perhaps it’s just a matter of subjectivism here?

Don’t forget, this was a very makeup intense movie. Expect it to get an AA nomination in that category.
