AP: New Pope predicts ’short reign’
Am I the only one who finds humor in the new Pope’s selection based upon his likelihood to die soon? What other job can you get because of your proximity to death? With all the outrage on his ::cough:: outdated politics, some can only hope.
I *really* don’t care because I follow Jesus, not the Pope.

I’m not a catholic and know little about their religion, but I always thought the Pope was picked supposedly through prayer and God’s divine wisdom being called upon.
However, before they even started the conclave they had priests saying what the Pope was not going to be… definitely not from America because he might be controlled by our President and definitely not young so they wouldn’t have to deal with another legacy Papacy right away. I guess it didn’t bother many others, since very little was said about it, but I found the comments about the President to be offensive.
