Flown with pride: Free Culture

In addition to his Media PC crashing his keynote speech four times, Microsoft Founder & Chairman Bill Gates told C|Net News.com.com that intellectual property owners who create for reasons other than raping people’s wallets are “some new modern-day sort of communists”. In that case, I fly my Creative Communist flag.

Actually, the Media Center PC never crashed, just the X-Box. The problem with Media Center was that the remote wasn’t working. Later the Internet connection on a notebook to demonstrate MSN Remote Record wouldn’t work at first. Conan O’Brain didn’t help much with him pointing out Microsoft failed to send him Portable Media Center software and then later comparing Smartwatches to bread makers. I have a feeling that this will be his first and last year at CES.
I must say that even though I’m an avid user of most of the Microsoft products demoed yesterday, that keynote was horrible and quite an embarrassment to the Windows crowd. I’ll admit that Steve Jobs always kicks ass with his keynote presentations, even though I’m not particularly a fan of Apple’s way of doing things.
There were also camera connectivity problems with the Media Center PC.
The Associate Press is reporting that the Media PC actually froze and while his XBox only crashed once, his *speech* dive-bombed at least four times.
Conan was absolutely hysterical!!!
Bill bought himself some mainstream attention with his idiotic ideology: Wired News: We’re Creative Commonists, Bill
I bought the t-shirt for $5.
Haha! I helped edit that video, and the one with him talking with Conan… Bill Gates is the least humorous man alive.
Truth. The looks Bill Gates was giving Conan were *GOLDEN*.
