Verizon Sucks
While I love living in Harbor Point, the management company has a lock-out agreement with Verizon to not allow Comcast broadband internet access even though Comcast can offer digital cable in the community. Part of this is because Verizon has a special hub just for DSL in the Harbor Point community (1900 apartment, 3000 residents).
Verizon was scheduled to install my DSL on September 10, but never showed or called to cancel. They would not reschedule me until today. The man actually arrived and installed things in about an hour. Being the geek, the first thing that I did is head to DSL Reports.com and run a speed test. The result: 128 kbps up/down. (For those who aren’t hip to the lingo, this is *really really really* piss poor performance for broadband).
I almost want out of my lease because of this. I am not happy with Verizon or Harbor Point for not disclosing that I would pay $50/month for essentially the speed of two dial-up connections.

That’s really, really bad speed. Is that seriously what it’s supposed to be or is there something wrong with the line?
on behalf of Verizon, since I am now an employee, I’d like to apologize…actually I’m an employee of Verizon Wireless and you are complaining about Verizon Communication so complain on dude!:-D
Hi,
I need some help getting the word out and would appreciate from anyone who can send this to blogs or other sites they know of.
I am looking for stories (in the last 2 years) from people in the State of Maryland who were incorrectly billed by Verizon and then after trying to solve the problem (and getting nowhere) they were taken to Court and sued by the Company. I have a feeling this is happening to a lot of people out there.
I am most interested in Small business owners but will also take stories from people who have had this problem as long as it happened in Maryland. Please email the short version of the story to Blueiguana7@hotmail.com titled Verizon Story.
Thanks
I Hate My Verizon Representative
I still haven’t received my Treo 600 from Verizon. I’m going through a Verizon representative so I can get my equipment and service savings of 15%. Here’s a quick story of events.
