Want a free iPod?

Here’s the 100% honest deal:

  1. Click this link. See below.
  2. Join the site.
  3. Complete the Ancestry.com promotion. This requires a credit card, but you will *not* be charged as long as you cancel within two weeks of joining.
  4. E-mail me telling me that you completed a promotion. (My email address is “officially@[the domain of my website.com]” A clickable version of my e-mail address is available under the Love Me menu.)
  5. Refer 5 friends to do these steps relative to you.
  6. Receive your free iPod mini or new 20-GB iPod.

You must be thinking, “this has to be a scam.” It is not. The company makes money by referring people to promotions. Most people forget to unjoin a promotion and then the referring company makes more money on the referral. The iPod incentive is just a method to get referrals and hope that people forget to unjoin a pricey online service. As long as you unjoin after getting recognition for your participation within two weeks of joining the promotion, you will not pay anything.

EDIT: I have now had five referrals complete a promotion, so go find another one of your friends that need a referral.

Good for you? Share!

I can’t find any free promotions anymore. Two from AOL, one from ebay. Anyway, none of them will load on my mac.. what browser did you use???

  5. Jeremiah says:

::grr:: The Ancestry.com promotion is gone. The AOL promotions would be great, but I cannot get them to load in Safari, Firefox, Opera, or IE. eBay is the cheapest working option (less than $5).
