Fun with Sarah

I feel special. I was Sarah’s backup date *twice* in one weekend. Maybe only once. I was supposed to be Sarah’s date to the R.B.C.P.C. production of “In The Beginning… The Greatest Story Never Told,” but Sarah overslept and could not find her car keys before the end of the musical. I sat with the San Diego Vinoskeys too overdressed to be dateless. Ouch. A game of Trivial Pursuit at Sarah’s house brought hilarity and victory to my team (Richard, Sarah, and me) afterwards.
After Sarah’s friend abandoned her Sunday night, she asked me to a concert at the Mira Mesa EpiCenter. Her good guy friend, Vito, played in one of the grunge bands (Murder My Love) that performed. The music was not our thing and the night would have been rather not exciting had we not ventured into a most randomly placed Chinese restuarant for dinner beforehand. The waiter that served us would put down each item with fanfair, wait for us to have a bite and approve before departing. Sarah found an insect in her soup and gained us a free upgrade to “Sizzling Rice Soup” to make the night even more random. The drive home blasting Cristina Aguilera in Sarah’s BMW convertable under a canopy of stars and perfect crescent moon ended the night perfectly.
