High school blessed me with the chance to learn and flourish under the guidance of so many incredible teachers — you know, the world’s most unrecognized heroes. Coach Jerome Loy was one of those teachers that made high school most memorable for me. His leadership in the classroom and on the track field always left me feeling like I could do anything. He forced me to take pride in my work when I was too shy to receive credit and as a motivational factor when I lacked desire to be at track practice. Congratulations to him on his induction into the Lynchburg Area Sports Hall of Fame this week.

Their change may be loose, but the highschool DVD release by Loose Change Films brought the tightest video edits and most professional presentation of short films by teenagers that I have ever watched. A switcher since December, Stephen Greenwood’s creative vision was brought to life in part with a slew of Apple and Adobe professional applications. The creativity and tools are nothing without skill, and the mastery witnessed in DVD v1.0 left me feeling that these guys are Hollywood bound.
My new site design is progressing! I shifted concepts twice, primarily because Anark Studio 2 for Mac OS X will not be available until late summer, despite the announcement that it would be available at the end of May.
As I predicted in early January, Phoenix (now Mozilla, code-name Firebird) is available for Mac OS X and is already superior to Camino (formally Navigator, code-name Chimera). Give version .6 a whirl.
Please e-mail Logitech! (Feel free to copy and paste this rant.) The company needs to get off its wireless technology high-horse and make its rad trackball and natural keyboard Bluetooth. I don’t want to add multiple, proprietary wireless dongles when Bluetooth is built-in and compatible with most new wireless devices. I just want superior, non-Microsoft input devices.

Tell me about my mother,
because I have to come to terms with her.
I must.
I see her life in my face
and her ghost in my eyes
everytime I stand in front of the mirror to shave.
Tell me everything,
just do not tell me that there is no reason.
Happy birthday Mom. I miss you so much.
