If some dumbass gets an erection because one particular app is better on a Dell than a Mac, good for him. He has bigger problems to worry about. Aaron Adams in response to a benchmark that showed Adobe AfterEffects performing better on a Dell (11-15-2002)

Steve Ballmer can stop his flooding the tech news media with his Microsoft is *really* sorry comments. The world will believe you, Monkey Boy, when your company stops abusing its monopoly. He is becoming as annoying as Watson-developer Dan Wood. Both of you, please stop talking because your lips are moving and all I hear is, "Blah blah blah blah blah."

College: The application, essays, letters, transcripts, and everything else needed to apply for the Emerson College Honors Program are submitted. Let us just hope Capital One credits my online payment before Emerson tries to charge my Visa.

Income: Despite another round of application and resume droppings, I am still looking for a no-brainer job. Three potential clients are waiting for my web services should I realize that I really am overqualified for every job that I have applied for.

Awesome: Adam Nolley and I have known each other since the days of my WebScraper web site. Graphic, web design and the music industry dominated our conversation until earlier this week when we both realized that we deal with many of the same struggles in life. This comforts me to know that there is finally someone who can truly relate to so many of the issues that I deal with daily.

Emotions: This week started off with much sadness as I noted the passing of my former Physics teacher, Dr. Murphy, to colon cancer on Sunday.

Even If by ZOEgirl

Even if the stars fell like rain,
Even if tomorrow never came,
Even if the world I know should cruble,
Nothing’s going to stand in my way.

Even if the sun left the sky,
Even if these tears never dry,
Even if the mountains fall and tumble,
If what’s left of me is taken,
I will not be shaken.

Happy Birthday Adam Nolley!

In less than 24-hours, the papers that will determine my college experience for the next four years will leave my possession and arrive in Boston with loving care from the United States Postal Service. (Okay, so it was almost a realistic scenario.)

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time I had a Windows problem… oh wait, he does. I am back online, hello world!

Speaking of Bill Gates, I find irony in his priorities. He will give $100 million to help fight AIDS in the next decade, yet will give $421 million to "educate" people against Linux in the next three years. (more)

I still do not have a no-brainer job, though I do have two clients waiting for me should I defy the mandate from the people in my life who consider all profit from the Internet equivalent to Monopoly money. Ace Hardware is the latest target of my resumé bomb.

Insider sources in Lynchburg report that a particular person complained that I do not regularly communicate with home. I find that ironic since I sent the last communication and it was in response to an e-mail that contained more lies than Clinton spewed in office. No one at home listened to me when I resided there and I have no indication that anything has changed.
