Finding a Routine

Saturday morning confirmed what I suspected. Eden actually resided in southern California, not in the Middle East. Okay, so I’m really just speculating but the perfect sunny days, the morning misty fog, and general lack of nagging insects is heavenly.

Every morning after walking Cameron and Emily (my two cousins) to school, my Aunt Beth and I hike up to Hill Top Community Park, run a mile on the track, conquer another hill, and power walk back down to the house. The routine is truly invigorating. In my attempt to become a Cali hottie, the local YMCA will be seeing me regularly starting sometime soon. And then the ladies who sent me fan email will have a little more to look at in a few months. :)

My biggest problem at the moment is a lack of warm weather clothing. I brought most of my shorts, short-sleeve shirts from VA with me to San Diego but expected to be able to buy more once I arrived. Surprisingly, all the stores here seem very seasonal and are only selling winter stuff. I have only purchased a few dress shirts, pants so far. Oh, I also indulged on a great deal on boxer-briefs.

Speaking of men’s underwear, I still have not reckoned the marketing strategy behind the pictures that clothing manufacturers put on the packaging of men’s underwear. Normal people don’t go to the beach wearing nothing but a-size-too-small pair of tighties. I guess the manufactures think that men will believe a washboard stomach and impeccable pecs are attainable wearing a specific underwear brand. If anyone from Hanes is reading this, shoot me an email.
